Great day for the final day of Stage One! Waking up in my own bed was a bonus. Driver drove me to my Trike at the new CHOA building and I headed west to Piedmont. Piedmont was an easy 5 mile scoot.
Of course my last stop included a doctors visit. Bloodwork was great and everyone was happy to see me. They were thankful that I looked so healthy, probably healthier than they expected.
After the appointment, I met with the Piedmont media group and did an interview about my trip and about living donation. The interview went well and I think it was the best interview to date. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any local media as I had hoped in Atlanta, but there is definitely still time now that I’m resting.
Then I scooted up SR 141 20 miles home. A LOT of people were watching me. I will scoot around awhile so more people can see me. Now rest.
Until later…
Congratulations ?? Matt on making it through stage 1. You are a courageous young man and we are proud of you.
Way to go Matt. Keep up the good work!
So good to know Stage 1 is now history. You did it! Amazing what a strong and determined young man you are. So proud to have known you since you were just a babe in that little scooter next door.
