Short scoot today, which worked out great after yesterday. I slept until 9:45. I was tired. Perfect day to do it since I couldn’t arrive at my next stop until mid-afternoon. Even though we left later, it was the perfect day to do so. A nice overcast 30 miles with a cool breeze got me from Greensboro to Madison. I had a few minutes to kill so I had lunch (Happy Cinco de Mayo) and looked around at Madison’s great old architecture. Beautiful.
Driver had somewhere to be this afternoon, so I was on my own for the last 3rd of the day. Fortunately, I was able to get in touch with the amazing people at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department and they followed me the following 11 miles. Thank you so much your help!
At the end of the escort, I made it to the most beautiful place in Georgia. You’ll learn more about that tomorrow.
Until then…
