What a crazy 35 miles. First, I get rerouted by Apple Maps from walking route to highway route and after going 3 miles off course, I head the right way. The right way was a 15 mile red dirt road used by logging trucks. Fortunately, it was Saturday and no trucks were moving through.
After what seemed like 10 lonely hours (it was three), I made it through. This Trike can certainly get through anything!
Driver met me at the end of the dirt and we continued on regular roads the rest of the way. Good thing we did, because my Trike was about to get it’s second test of the day. The first real rain in over 30 days finally hit me. The Trike passed again!
After a night in Greensboro, we head west again to my favorite place in the world, Camp Twin Lakes.
Until then…
