After a great final day in Augusta we headed west on our newest reroute to Thomson, formerly known as Slashes. It was only a 32 mile trip, so I slept in until 8:30. When I got outside it was sprinkling and I thought this would be my first rain day. Five minutes of sprinkles is all I got.
It was a pretty nice scoot to Thomson. Easy roads and even a bike lane. After we checked in to the hotel, we went to the Old Rock House. Built in 1785, it’s the oldest stone house in Georgia.
Tomorrow morning we head to Greensboro and one day closer to Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge.
Until then…
Hang in there, Matt……
