Great day today. Left Waynesboro earlier than expected because I had my police escort waiting 5 minutes after I called for him. Officer Rodriguez brought me through downtown into Burke County where Lieutenant Silas from the Burke County Sheriff’s Department picked me up at the border. He followed me well into Richmond County where a Deputy followed me all the way to my hotel. A 35 mile escort. Thank you to everyone!
The first thing I did when I arrived in Augusta was visit my friend Marcus. He was my most recent Shareday. Unfortunately, I visited him in the ER. I’ll get to see him tomorrow, as well. Tomorrow I visit the best doctor I’ve ever had, Dr. Carlos Zayas who runs the transplant center in Augusta. Not sure what exactly I’ll be doing, but it will be a good day.
Until tomorrow…
Mr. Schneider, my name is Stefanie Bryson and I am the Clinical Manager at Nephrology Associates, PC. Last year we organized the first Kidney Walk here in Augusta benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. We had over 450 participants and raised $20,000! We are having the second Kidney Walk for Augusta on Saturday, June 29th. Your story is inspirational! If you are going to be in Augusta, we would love for you to tell your story! Augusta University Transplant team is a sponsor at the event as well. Let me know if this is something you might be interested in. THANKS!!!
I’m so sorry I missed this! I was with Dr. Zayas at Augusta University and we were on Channel 6 News. Unfortunately, I will be in Arkansas at the end of June. Good luck with the walk this year!
