Back to work tomorrow! Enjoyed a nice few days off at the parent’s house. Great food, comfortable bed, amazing hosts. We stayed a few extra days because of the pace we are taking is a lot faster than expected and I needed my monthly infusion.
Every month I get an infusion of IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulins). It is basically plasma that helps my immune system and my kidney. It is a 5 hour infusion and I just bring along my iPad and headphones to catch up on tv or movies. This week was Game of Thrones.
Avengers: Endgame was also part of my stop to add more entertainment. A fun dinner with my old friend, Frank, and his family was a nice addition, as well. This morning I went to Hilton Head to visit my 97 & 96-year-old grandparents before I get back to scooting.
Hopefully, WSAV in Savannah will be meeting me in the morning while I head through Savannah from Skidaway Island. Then on to Statesboro, home of Georgia Southern University. May is almost upon us, which means Stage One will be over soon.
Until tomorrow…
