Good day today. Started off in Okeechobee with another escort. Big thank you to everyone at the Okeechobee Sheriff’s Department. Great group of people. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an escort in the next county, but Driver did his job well. Along the scoot, a nice guy offered to drive us the rest of the way to Sebring. We told him what we were doing and declined. He just shook his head.
What a long drive! Only 53 miles, but seemed like 73! Straight farmland turned into cow pastures (30 cows stopped and stared at me the entire time I was in there sight; I didn’t take a picture considering I was being followed by a police escort) that turned into light forest. Not much between Okeechobee and Sebring.
On the way to Sebring I received a message that there was a Trikaroo dealer in the city. I decided it would be nice to visit. During a lunch stop, we were stopped in the parking lot in Sebring by a lady who worked there and she was excited that I was stopping by. I pulled in just before close and met Steve, the owner. South Trails RV Center was expecting my visit. Steve was more than welcoming and runs a great place. If anyone in Florida needs an RV, it’s worth a drive from any distance!
I changed up my itinerary again. I will be skipping over Zolfo Springs and Lakeland and heading to Sun City. I will be staying a day in St. Petersburg with friends before I head up to Tampa and then New Port Richie to visit Trikaroo.
I think it’s been six days. If so, I’ll give stats of the trip for week one tomorrow. Don’t forget to register to be an organ donor! Speaking of donors, you can help fund the trip here!
Until then…
Keep on scooting???
Good job.
