It’s been a wild couple of days! We finally made it from Atlanta. After 11 hours on the road on Saturday and 7 hours today! I started to get a little nervous about thrip after being in the car so long! Fortunately, (I hope) I won’t even on the scooter that long. If I am, I will be out side enjoying the fresh air!
It’s been a great few days! First, Icelandic Glacial donated 5 cases of fresh Icelandic H2O. My kidney will be well hydrated on the road! Then, last last week I came across a company I’d never heard of. Trikaroo sells mobility vehicles and I came across them on Google. Google saved the day!
The people who work at Trikaroo went above and beyond to help me get a mobility scooter. I struck out with all the other companies I contacted and I was planning on using my personal scooter that goes 3.5 mph. My Trike goes up to 18 mph and 40 miles per charge. Trikaroo and all the employees are a godsend!
Trikaroo is based in the Tampa area, so we left a day early to pick up my Trike and visit old friends I haven’t seen in a long time. We will be back to Tampa early in the trip to visit them both again!
After picking up my Trike today and learning all the ins and outs, we headed southeast to Miami Beach. Seven hours later after driving on the most boring road in Florida, we arrived at our hotel.
Now ready for sleep and planning in the morning. Scooting starts at 10am in Miami Beach and after a stop at Jackson Memorial Hospital at 11, the scoot goes to my first official stop, Coral Springs!
Until tomorrow…
Good luck Matt! Team Georgia is pulling for you!
Be safe, Matt! I love you!
Go Matt, see you in a few days in Ft. Pierce.
Drive safe. Don’t get lost like your Dad?
