One month from today I will be scooting into the town I grew up in. I lived in Coral Springs 3 to 14-years-old. I had a great childhood there. I had a fairly “normal” childhood in Florida. I rode my bike everywhere, played baseball and basketball, swam in friends’ pools, joined Indian Guides, and was in student council in middle school.
I also had my first transplant when I was just 11. I did go in and out of the hospital and go for a lot of check-ups, but that didn’t define me. I was just a kid who had to try a little harder to catch up to the group, but still was friends with everyone and alway part of the group.
Coral Springs was a great place to grow up in the 80s and I hope I get a chance to see some old friends from a great childhood!
